sankalp 0357d78939 chore(root): remove DRF stack and update configuration
This change removes unused DRF-related dependencies, updates .env.sample and .gitignore to reflect new configuration, and adds a comprehensive project architecture plan (PLAN.md). It simplifies the stack and prepares the codebase for a modular, permission‑driven design.

New Features
- Added detailed PLAN.md outlining project structure, apps, permissions, and tech stack.
Enhancements
- Cleaned up .env.sample by removing obsolete environment variables.
- Updated .gitignore to exclude generated directories and track migrations properly.
Bug Fixes
- No bug fixes included in this commit.

config

A Django project folder structure is generated with djinitx/djinit/dj.

Features

  • Pre-configured REST API with JWT authentication
  • Essential dependencies and utilities
  • Production-ready configuration

Setup

  1. Set environment variables in .env file

  2. Run setup (installs dependencies, runs migrations, creates superuser):

    just setup

  3. Start development server:

    just dev

Traditional Method

  1. Install dependencies:

    pip install -r requirements.txt

  2. Set environment variables in .env file

  3. Run migrations:

    python manage.py migrate

  4. Create superuser:

    python manage.py createsuperuser

  5. Start development server:

    python manage.py runserver

**Note:** For the single folder layout, organize your API endpoints by model name under the `api/` directory.
For example, if you have a `User` model in `models/user.py`, create:
- `api/user/views.py` - API views for User
- `api/user/serializers.py` - Serializers for User
- `api/user/urls.py` - URL patterns for User endpoints

See the README files in `api/` and `models/` directories for more details.
