⚖️ Terms of Service & Acceptable Use Policy

1. Eligibility & Age Requirement

By using this service, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 13 years of age. This service is not intended for children under 13.
• You are using the subdomain for non-commercial, personal, or non-profit purposes. Use of this service by for-profit companies, commercial entities, or for the primary purpose of generating business revenue is strictly prohibited.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By requesting, registering, or maintaining a subdomain under the is-an-ai.dev zone, you ("User") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must immediately delete your DNS records and cease use of the service.

3. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

You agree not to use the service for any activity that is illegal, harmful, or interferes with the operation of the service. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

• Deceptive Practices & Phishing: Hosting sites designed to deceive users into providing sensitive information. Impersonating brands, companies, or services (e.g., "gemini", "openai", "google", "apple") via your subdomain name is strictly prohibited.
• Illegal Acts: Content that violates local, national, or international laws.
• Malicious Software: Distributing viruses, malware, worms, or logic bombs.
• Abuse & Harassment: Promoting hate speech, violence, or illegal discrimination.
• Unauthorized Content: Hosting copyrighted material without permission or facilitating piracy.
• Technical Abuse: Using the subdomain for DDoS command-and-control, spamming, or bypassing rate limits of other services.
• Adult Content: Hosting sexually explicit or "NSFW" material.

4. Service Level & Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE MAINTAINERS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

5. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the maintainers of is-an-ai.dev be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including loss of data, profit, or reputation) arising out of or in connection with the use of this free service, even if advised of the possibility of such damage.

6. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the maintainers of is-an-ai.dev from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the subdomain, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

7. Content Responsibility & DNS Neutrality

The maintainers of is-an-ai.dev act solely as a DNS pointer service. We do not host, control, or verify the content of the target addresses (e.g., GitHub Pages, Vercel). The User is solely responsible for all content and activity occurring under their subdomain.

8. Right to Terminate & Reclaim

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, to:

• Revoke any subdomain that violates these terms, targets popular brands for phishing, or harms the reputation of the is-an-ai.dev project.
• Reclaim subdomains that point to "Dead Links" (404s) or remain inactive for more than 90 days.
• Modify or discontinue the service at any time.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time by updating the repository. Continued use of the subdomain constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
